Nice find Songbird. I will add a link to this game on the links page sometime this week. This is like Via Galactica, I think this has a bit more to it. I will play around more with this when I'm not at work

Well the author did say the idea for the game came from Space Trader. I think this one is a bit more polished and offers more in the way of gameplay. Even if it is close if Spronk never finished the game least someone else made a clone that is pretty complete in functionality?

Too much... nah. If so, then you could get away with noting that Spronk's game is too much like elite, and elite stole from Traveller, and Traveller stole from Poul Anderson and, and... etc.apples and oranges. Its' a fine game with RPG elements.

The developer of Stellar Trader went on a bug hunt. Version 1.00 is now available for download here:[url]http://www10.caro.net/dsi/stellartrader/[/url] add that the game mentioned at the bottom of the page, "Decker" is a wonderful game too. While not really a space game, it is a cool sci-fi polished game. Give it a try.
