UFO: Alien Invasion

Hey EveryoneI cannot believe I didn't find this game sooner. UFO: Alien Invasion is an open source game that is themed after X-Com, it isn't a remake but a game like X-Com.

There is two different modes of gameplay (Geoscape and Tactical). Geoscape game mode is all about management/strategy, so from a high level you deploy your units and engage the enemy. You will be able to build, produce or reseach anything in the game as long as you have the budget. Another one I will have to download at some point,always liked the xcom games.

Yeah I know, I will try and play around with this one during my Thanksgiving vacation if I'm not too busy. I might download the SVN to see the latest features and report back on this one. But I liked X-Com a lot and it was a shame they stopped making them. But this is another reason why open-source is a blessing.

After watching this video and seeing some of the gameplay it looks really good and it has had a bunch of updates over the past year.
