Trader/Turret balancing mod

Hi,I played through Freelancer several times. But always as a mercanery/fighter. I always wanted to try playing Freelancer like Elite and earning my money with trading, smuggling and maybe some piracy. But in the vanilla game this is completely impossible. You can't win a harder fight in a freighter, you have to aim your turrets manually and while you do this you are not able to pilot your ship. This is pretty pointless. And there is the fact that every kill and destroy mission gives you much more money than with trading.So is there a mod which tweaks the balancing in the game more trader/smuggler friendly? Maybe by introducing a turret ai or different freighter ship types?
