Landing on planets and outpost views

Post by sscadmin »

Check out this video that shows off a little bit of the experience of going down to a planet outpost/city. Looking damn good for this early in development and cannot wait to see what this matures into of the next year.

Pretty impressive for a very early Alpha, coming into land and flying over the city reminded me of Privateer 2 for some reason and it look like you could look around and watch what was going on outside of the cockpit when the ship was on it's landing approach, although I still got the impression that it will be some sort pre rendered landing sequence.

Thought the whole landing is a script/stream.It's nice to see but I would skip it after I have seen it a few times. :D

Heh, I don't know if I would want to navigate through some of those tight spots with the ship and bump some buildings and get fined for damages :) If EDL Auto Assist is on all the way to the pad so be it, but it would be nice to have the option to take the controls and fly it all the way down as well.... just adds to the experience.
