Planet Explorers
Planet Explorers
The only post I could find on this was 2+ years ago and was about the kickstarter, which was successful btw. I have had this game on my steam watchlist for quite sometime now and looks very interesting since you can play single player, co-op, multi-player and cross platform multiplayer in this large open world game. And the maps seem and look very large and I like the fact players can create their own items or import others and make their own servers. There is a demo you can play http://planetexplorers.pathea.net/new-demos/ check it out and let me know what you think I might check this out this weekend when I have time. There is a huge update for the game (v0.9.0) coming very soon, dec 2015.Steam link: http://store.steampowered.com/app/237870 id="xq3EcsYy0EU">
RE: Planet Explorers
I actually backed this during it's kickstarter and have been playing it ever since the first Alpha release. I like it with all the exploring and crafting you can do in it. There is even proper day and night cycles and different animal encounters. Some are hostile, others are only hostile if you attack them. Its up to you if you want to fight them or flee from them instead. Also lots of quests to keep you occupied, but its all entirely optional. You can just wander off and do your own thing and to me at least this is the main reason I've been enjoying it. :queen:
RE: Planet Explorers
I remember this but I did not back it at the time. Looking at the vids it looks a bit like an update version of Robinson's Requiem.
RE: Planet Explorers
Spot on Pinback :girlwink: Although it is a bit more forgiving than Robinson's Requiem was. I always loved that Chris Foss-a-like box cover that game had.For all I know this might even be Chris Foss's work! :girlcrazy:I may have to dig around in the Amiga vault to check as I do have that game "somewhere".
RE: Planet Explorers
I did load up the demo and it is a little unforgiving for the newb to the game. If you die then you pretty much drop everything and then they don't even spawn you near the place that you died you can be very far away. Visually the game looks pretty good thus far, I think the monster combat could be more refined. But this game has a lot of promise as a open world game and cannot wait to see what else they do with it (the demo I am playing is like 20 revisions behind too, so that is probably someting too).
