Not from the original creators of the game but a new lot calling themselves Fishlabs.  No doubt more F2P or pay to win nonsense as I read some where they have changed the 2nd game to this on the mobile platforms.

That's a shame... this trailer didn't impress me much at all. The visuals look decent for a mobile game.

Correct, Fishlabs have made all the games but the original developer of GOF 1&2 had some sort of falling out with their publisher and lost their rights to the GOF games and the Fishlads name as well. They have now gone on to create Everspace and a new developer calling themselves Fishlabs have done GOF3, there is a thread about this on the Everspace Steam forum that gives some details to what went on.
