R.I.P David Prowse

Talk about everything else that may happen in life that doesn't happen inside the real world of Space Gaming... is there really anything outside of Space sim/Combat Gaming?

So in Episode VI in the death scene, when Darth's helmet was off was that David Prowse? Haha what a choice to redo the dialog because yeah the original voice in this video doesn't sound too menacing :)
RIP David

No the death scene in Jedi was played by another actor, he was nicked named Darth Farmer by his co stars on Star Wars and just looking at the green cross code advert, that' not his voice ether.

Sorry to hear this. The voice may have been James, but the menacing hulk of a man prowling like a violence contained was all David... RIP.

@pinback
Your right Pinback, in the original ads he was voiced over. However...

RIP David Prowse, thanks for saving generations of kids around busy roads and for being the baddest character ever in sci-fi...you legend.

Lets flip this, Green Cross Man turns to the Darkside. Maybe not as dramatic as the scene from Episode III but I think it has a quality all of it's own.

Were you a member of the Tufty Club? Very popular among kids, back in the day!
On road safety, we even had cycling proficiency lessons from the local bobby.

Although I remember it, the problem was that kids in the 70s in Scotland tended to do other things, like join the Sea, RAF or Army Cadets or the Scouts and Girl Guides. None of these tho could touch the number 1 thing for 70s Scottish kids to do, that was sitting around the city centres and watching all the drunks fighting each other every Friday and Saturday night. It was far better than anything on the telly! Bowie was right...

I had the pleasure of spending some time in Glasgow in the '70s - no mean city! This lady could sing...
