Hi,My name is Robert and I love space sims and flight sims. I have played Eve online for a while but find it not as much fun now as I am re-discovering the Elite type gaming again, Elite I played on my Atari 520stfm as a teen many years ago I am 38 years old now!, well the game I am trying to play at the moment is ffed3d discovered it yesterday and am trying to install it on my laptop but keep getting the error messsage- CANNOT FIND SOURCE FILE if anyone could assist me would be much appreciated. I have yesterday found a game called Ad Astra bit slow and alot of keyboard input controls but a good game. My Elite rank was Mostly Dangerous just a blast away from Elite but never made that rank basically Elite was the only game I was really into as a teen because it let my imagination go. Infinity The Quest For Earth looks awesome I am really looking forward to that game release sooner the better!. Hello Robert you problem with FFE3D sound like you do not have all the files.Try downloading it again,either from here or the Russian site.http://www.elite-games.ru/conference/viewtopic.php?t=50657you need a super fast laptop to get AdASTRA running at a decent speed.

Hi Robert, welcome to the SSC. You will find extensive tips and advice throughout the site if you have any problems with FFE3D. Have fun exploring and don't forget to get Buffet 2.1 so that you can tweek some things in the game. Oh, I used to have a 520 ST, but I traded it for an Amiga 500.

Hi Robert and welcome to SSC.I too cannot wait for Infinity to be released. Maybe if we are lucky we might see an Alpha build by the end of this year. Make sure you checkout the Infinity forum area I have a Q&A I did a few months back. So see ya in the forums and there is a lot of good people to chat with and games to discuss.

hi there, robertwardeveryday a new error message from FFED3D, great, i guess it could keep one busy a whole lifetime i guess the meanest thing is the little attention they pay for it by now at elite-games.rupersonally i hope dreamzzz wakes up and did some fixes and concessions to the english speaking "minority". but of course there is nothing like Frontier.... and FFED3D will dazzle everyone that played elite or frontierthere is not much i can say to the missing of a source file, it sounds a bit bewildering try pinbacks hint and follow the link to elite-games download, let us know the result.you only have the laptop to work with or can you test the installation on a desktop machine?

When I get back from vacation I will work on another repackage of FFED3D for everyone. But I thoroughly tested the package I host here on my machine and never run into issues. But my machine is a pretty good gaming rig so I am not lacking in the spec area at all. Which most of the time is the issue with people running FFED3D. I would be interested to know like Potsmoke said was to try your install on desktop and see.
