To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I haven't played EVE for quite some time.... ahem maybe 7yrs now. I have wanted to start playing again and try it out again to see what has changed since the last time I played. I have been playing Dust 514 a bit and was interested on the EVE aspects of Dust 514 so wanted to check that side out.

I thought this tutorial was really good and basic for the EVE newb.

Start your EVE Online trial and check it out.

Well, one thing I can say about EVE is that it is boring if you play it alone (least that was the case for me). However if you're in an alliance, big or small doesn't really matter as long as it's active, then you will have a great game experience and you can do things you might not otherwise do alone (or survive).  One thing I really don't like about the game is that it is way to populated, you can hardly find a system where you can do some mining in peace because odds are someone's scanning for you as we speak and he'll kill you ... game over.
