To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hi all, i just got the last version of the FFE D3D complete pack.

But in this version since the first D3D , the targetting tunnels are missing, no matter if they are enabled in the game menu .
I have an ATI graphics card with windows seven and xp, but still on the two, tunnels are missing, i had tried with the original version and they work, so it' s a bug that puzzle me.
Had someone of you noticed that ?
Is there a hack i can try to re-enable these damn TT ?

DrDude, it's not your fault, dreamzz must have removed it in the last revision (nov. 2009, try the older .exe of the archive includet in their download, you'll see they was there, but i guess many bugs to), but i guess so many people asked for the whereabout of the targetting tunnels, i hope they will bring them back. anyway i don't see why they did, you could have disabled/enabled them whenever you want. but take some of your congratulations to Elite-Games.ru, maybe if we ask them often enough, they will bring it back next revision. 😕
no hack , i tried but it's not to find what exactly they did and the differences between the working TT and new revision are to many. you see not only you miss them, even some other things are annoying like the missing arrows (euro sign therefore) or the exchange of (ue) (oe) for the square brackets. they must have altered the character table of FFE, what was in my point of view a very bad idea, they should have left the original font or if replaced with truetype, then why dont create a tt font that fits to FFE? would be much better than replacing changing characters of the FFE character table. i guess the targeting tunnel issue is bound to that to, because in FE2/FFE alot of grafical stuff is drawn by reserved characters in the font, so if you remove them or change them this is lost. really i don't understand that, but i whined often enough about that. hey why don't you register there and tell them your problems, if enough people do that, maybe they change their mind. 🙄
it's something that really kept me from playing FFED3D since a while, it's no real pleasure with all these lacks. 👿

Yea, I missed them too as they made fights a lot easier. Hopefully they will make a return in the next revision of the exe.
