To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Do you have a Valve game that has the source code like Half-Life 2, Portal, Counterstrike? Then you might be interested in this great space sim/fps mod. This is a real piece of art and great job on the modding! The latest current version is 3.3 which came out in February 2009. Let us know how you like it!

Here is a brief description of the mod:
A massive deep space artifact from long-gone Earth was found and spawned a renaissance on the human colonies of the United Terran Forces. Your role in Eternal Silence will be within vital strategic battles between massive capital warships. Eternal Silence features the following:
* Cinematic Battles between Capital Ships on battlefields as large as 32768 cubic kilometers
