To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I don’t think any one has mentioned Tau Ceti yet. The game is based on Frontiers and has been around for about 3 years, there is no game to download yet but there’s a blog about the game which has more info on it and a number of vids.

Thanks Pinback. Does look promising and would like to see a nice game using the Orge engine because it is pretty good. Can't see the videos because i'm at work but the screenshots do look decent. Will add this game to the link list and will be updated soon. I'll contact the dev and see if he might stop by and talk about Tau Ceti.

PdG do you have a link to the background story? Will it be based on a Elite style of game or closer to the original Tau Ceti game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tau_Ceti_%28video_game%29

Keep at it PDG, you can never have too many frontier like games. 😀

I don’t think I ever played the 8 bit Tau Ceti.

Shame on you ! 👿 😆

Heh. Totally! Shame on you, Pinback! (wags finger) Tau-Ceti is a classic although I have more fondness for the sequel, Academy. Grab an emulator and give 'em a whirl!
