To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I'm sorry if i wrote this topic in wrong place...
Somebody watched film The Core?
Some time ago i've watched it, so...
I've created the plot (mainly for some people that creating the games, maybe it would be an inspiration to you <img src=' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />), but it's sounds a little weird, but who knows...
Year 2075.
Earth resources are running out, but in meantime, someone is creating a material, that resists temperatures about 8,000 degrees.
Because the material creation is very expensive, nations are consolidating into factions, so they're building massive TerraShips to move beyond Moho line, build stations in Earth's mantle and bring out most resources as they can...
So, what's your opinion about that?
(Sorry for my English...)
I actually liked that movie and it would definitely give a creative artist a lot of fun because really this is a unexplored place for us and could really be a fun game if done right I think.
Sounds like you are thinking about an RTS like game.
Yes, but i 'm thinking for many genres, especially adventure, RPG, our loved space-sims (here it would be named as "mantle-sim", as "underwater-sim" for games like AquaNox <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//wink3.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />), and (as you said Pinback) RTS games. We got a great opportunities here.
Has anyone made a game using this setting, I can't think of anything offhand.
So, these [background=rgb(33, 47, 58)]opportunities can use Indie games creators, such as Zer0Sum.[/background]
