To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hi Everyone
Sorry I haven't been as active as I would like these past two weeks, but I just moved into a new home and was busy moving and cleaning and everything else that goes along with that. But made it just in time for the holidays. So I hope everyone does have a happy holiday and enjoys the company of friends and family. It just snowed yesterday so looks like we will have a white Christmas instead of brown 🙂
It's weird how the presents seem to get smaller and expensive every year. I remember a few weeks back during packing up for the move I found a toy that I played with when I was little and it still looked and functioned great not bad for a 35+ year old toy. Makes you think will your kids or you yourself be able to brag about a toy that is 35ys old....? Probably not with the throw-away merchandise they sell today your lucky to get 1-2yrs out of most toys. But I guess thats how they get us to spend money every year 🙂
Remember we have to get all of our celebrations and partying out now because maybe next year we won't be celebrating much with 12/21/2012 coming soon 😈
