To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Salutations.
When I tried to register this site, they asked me to fill the registration question. They don't allow to register this site until you answer to this registration question. I don't see why this is necessary. Do you know why? Thank you.

This is a feature I use on SSC to help deter bots from registering and causing havoc to the site, as all the members can admit to there is zero bots here. And I hopefully tried to make the questions easy enough for the average scifi fan to figure them out and if not, a simple quick google search can get the answer for you. Yes these questions may deter normal people from registering and contributing to SSC but I look at it that this is a fan site and the people that are 'real' fans of this genre of games is whom we want here and not people that are going to troll or cause strife with members.
There is quite a few developers here on SSC and developer ran forums here, they choose to have a presence here because of that fact. That when you are making a space or scifi game you want to get this info to the right people. Well, look no further... every person here is a real fan of these games 🙂
Sorry if you may have had difficulty with any of the questions, but it is necessary today with rude people and bots. It is for the good of the community to weed out the non-believers and if a simple question does it then they are not passionate enough. Welcome and enjoy SSC.
