Agreed. I have no problem with a nation creating defenses for themselves but testing should ALWAYS be in a non populated area. If this was a missile defect what trouble would Russia be in if it killed some innocent Norwegians?

I have never seen those types of lighting effects from a faulty missile explosion? You almost have to think what the heck they had inside the missile to make that scene and is any of it possibly harmful to the environment.

Honestly those pics (the first couple anyway) look completely generated, as if done by some 13-year old on his parents' computer. Is there any video of this phenomena? What's the official response from Russia? Obviously if those images are legit it's nothing that would be caused by missile testing. You would have a very hard time producing an effect like that in the sky if that was your sole purpose, much less it occurring by complete accident.

Wow, how about that. Well the best explanation the guy offered was that "a rocket went out of control and exploded"...well, number one, that doesn't explain how the spiraling went on for "several minutes". And for another, I don't see any explosion.

God knows what they were testing. Not like they would divulge anyway.

Definitely makes you wonder? In my time I have seen a test missiles and real missiles connecting with targets and all have an explosion close to what you see in the movies. This picture and video show off nothing I have ever witnessed before. And in saying that makes you worry a little. Who knows what the governments of the world are working on in secret labs?

I'm nothing close to a conspiracy theorist, but there's no question in my mind that we would be shocked if we knew what our militaries were truly capable of. There can be no doubt that UFOs exist, the documentary evidence, namely video, is too robust to deny. The only question is 'what are they', not 'do they exist'. I'm fairly confident they're all man-made, at least until I see actual aliens on video.

Think about this. To date, the SR71 Blackbird still holds the world record for speed. It's over 50 years old. At the time, the world record for speed was being broken every few years. First America would break the record, then the Russians, and back and forth it went for a couple decades. Eventually the US advanced way beyond Russia and when the Soviets were unable to provide competition, the US stopped declassifying their new planes. That was the only reason they were declassifying them in the first place was out of pure ego, we couldn't let the world think Russia had the fastest plane. Until another country out-does the Blackbird on record, the US has no reason to reveal anything. But you can bet your arse that they haven't stopped advancing. God only knows what they've achieved in 50 years. I think we get a glimpse everytime a UFO is caught on film.

Very good point, almost leads back to moon landing and space exploration. No one is trying to beat the USA at this so they sit on there asses. I think it is pathetic sometimes that we have yet to make a visit to the moon in over 40yrs.... man if only I could be president for a few days to learn some juicy secrets 🙂

Too much is being filmed these days to dismiss as weather balloons and I also believe they are terrestrial in origin. I mean why? Why would an advanced space faring race bother with this grotty mud ball? They would have already gone through this period of development and so would have little reason to stick around here, apart from maybe to give themselves a good laugh as we destroy our beautiful planet. 😆

And that's another thing, you always hear the argument, why waste money on space, there are enough problems down here! To these people I say this, many of our problems could be solved by going out there, certainly colonization of the solar system would ease up the use of resources here on the good Earth by spreading our ever expanding population to Mars, Europa ect. Yes of course it would be difficult to engineer these solutions, but think of the gains! But as usual, it will take a major ecological disaster to happen before anything is done. 🙁

And finally, Darkone I would vote for you if I was an American. Why not come to Scotland instead and be our First Minister?

Always thought about running for some type of political office personally. But I think I'm to honest and I like to hold people accountable. Plus i'm just a struggling dad of five kids so don't have the millions to spend on a campaign for something 🙂 It's really amazes me to see how elected officials loose their common sense and the ability to do the right thing.

I think government should be more simplified to stop some of this crap from turning into law and really take the peoples thoughts and votes into order. I would love to see ALL bills/laws go through a public vote, so the people can make the decision.

I could go on and on about politics 🙂 I won't pollute the thread.

But back to the space part. I agree whole heartedly with you Geraldine, why we are dragging our feet on these things is unknown to me. And if I was watching our satellite transmissions to get an idea about our society I would stay away too. Maybe there is a reason why certain civilizations show signs of UFO/Alien beings thousands of years ago.

Totally agree Geraldine, although I won't say it's out of the question that aliens may visit from time to time. I personally believe there must be untold numbers of species out there considering the size of the universe. One thing I've always been skeptical about, even though we kinda take it for granted, is whether FTL travel is even possible. But assuming it is, I could envision an alien species achieving the technology for the first time and coming to Earth for a test run. Conversation would go something like this:

Alien 1: "OK, FTL drive is online."

Alien 2: "So...where should we go?"

Alien 1: "Someplace far"

Alien 2: "But where?"

Alien 1: "How bout Earth?"

Alien 2: "What we gonna do there??"

Alien 1: "That's not the point, but since you ask we can take home movies for the folks back home"

I too have thought about running for office from time to time, fantasizing that if I ever became president I would learn some good stuff (oh yeah, I'd make the country a better place and all that, 'hope and change hope and change!' and all the rest of it, but give me some good dirt first!) . Well interesting story on this issue which may serve to shatter our dreams. Jimmy Carter swears he saw a UFO with a group of people. He said it was green and moving like nothing we were supposed to be capable of. When he became president he started asking questions and insists he couldn't get anything interesting. No juicy secrets. Then again, he may just be keeping a juicy secret.

I also heard about something similar happening with another president. I can't remember the exact name of it, I think it was "Hangar 17" or some such. It was a mythical hangar at Edwards Airforce Base that supposedly housed alien craft. Well, it was getting a ton of press at the time which may have been in the 70s'. If it wasn't the president at the time, it was some other high ranking politician who called up an unnamed military guy at Edward's Airforce base and asked if he could see Hangar 17. Apparently the guy yelled at him and told him never to bring it up again.

Pinback this is NOT a military installation in the desert... it doesn't exist and no special programs are done here. Um please don't mind the no fly zone, no traveling within 30-50mi of base and all employees are flown in. But nothing goes on here.... move along.

You can youtube some videos of people who make the trek to area 51 trying to get as close to the base as possible. Invariably a military patrol spots them and makes them leave. A couple of times they even gave the people rides back to the road. In one such video you can hear the guy ask the military guy 'so what's over there?' Military guy: "nothing much". Guy replies "Can we maybe go if we make an appointment?"...no answer.

I should mention here that I was using Micro$oft Flight Sim 2004 at the time! 😆 😆 So its ok please don't send the secret service after me! 😮

I like the DC3, its the Cobra Mk3 of the real world in my crazed mind. :geek:

If the landscape I downloaded was accurate 😆 , I can say that place has one hell of a long runway! The DC3 was just a spec on it.

Then I reckon you'd enjoy Black Shark, I believe it's a DC3 flight simulator. You gotta read a goddam book before you have a prayer of staying airborne though.
