To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hey guys

 

I'd really appreciate if you can suggest a good software I could use to record videos using webcams. I'm gonna place a camera to record everything in my parking lot outside my building during the night and I have a nice camera to use but I don't know what software to use. I'd like something that can record continuously for at least 10 hours and very important to keep the file size relatively (very)low.

 

Do you have anything in mind ?

You would probably want to go with the software that takes small jpg images quickly because it will use less space on your disk because a 10hr recording could get quite large. And it should be able to play it back like a video without issue.
