To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hi there!

Im new here and hopefully i am getting to the right place:p

As im studying abroad with my little mac air with crappy 64G flash memory...my laptop really cant support large PC games with whatever VM or dual system..

Does anyone have any recommendations for web game???

Sci-fi ones would be perfect and graphic really weights a lot for me..as ive tried DARKORBIT i should say the graphics are really...not..that..delightful..(personal opinion;))

Btw im a girl gamer so i really dont know much professional stuff, just wanna play sth. to have fun, so plz be precise, and hopefully you dont feel bothered to explain more:p

Thanks again people! Just cant wait!

Don't know about web games, are you just looking for games running on a Mac again don't know anything about Macs but we do have this thread http://spacesimcentral.com/ssc/topic/675-netbook-space-sims/ about games which will run on a Netbook and IIRC their should be mac version of some of the games.

Vendetta Online is pretty lightweight; your Mac Air should be able to handle it (total dl size is < 500 megabytes).  This is my all-time favorite computer game, sci-fi or otherwise.  I play it religiously.

You could also try Ascent - The Space Game which plays in any browser with a Unity 3D plugin, I think.  Right now it's very "alpha" and minimalist, but worth an hour at least.
