To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I'm teetering on the edge of buying an iPad 2 in a couple of months (assuming wifey and I return from our holiday with some cash reserves), so I'm interesting in seeing how GoF2 plays. Has anyone tried it on iPhone/Android?

The video for the new addon looks good for GoF2, I have yet to jump into the tablet market but I want to. I have been waiting for an Android tablet that suits my needs and one hasn't appeared yet (hoping Amazon's new one will do it for me). I didn't want to buy an Ipad just because I hate the apple store and their practices with experiences with my kids ipod touches.

I'm not a big fan of Apple either, but I made the mistake of buying a lot of albums on iTunes back in the day, followed by loads of iPhone games over the last couple of years. I guess once you side with the devil you have to live with the consequences. 😐

Saying that, if a good game is available for something, no matter how evil the corp that made it, I'll probably go for it.

Be patient until Q1 2012 then. From Fishlabs Blog:

One such platform, which should better not stay unmentioned, is the Windows PC. Quite a few of you guys have already spotted the Windows logo at the end of our beta trailer and judging from your comments, there are lots and lots of GOF-fans out there who are excited as hell to play the game on their home computers. And rest assured, you won’t have to wait too long for it, because we’re currently aiming at a release date in the first quarter of 2012.
