To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Thanks for the latest (and thanks for changing mine from Cardiff to Welshpool.) and I'm so pleased you can just enable the ones you want, it was slowing my pc down badly before

Thanks to both of you and you're welcome! <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> And in case you haven't noticed, the pad stations upgrade mod is available too.

Now I'm working on getting Vuzz's and potsmoke's stuff integrated into spacestatons.lua. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//moil.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':mole:' />

Oh I noticed Marcel and did you notice I sneaked that screen shot you did a while back onto ModDB? <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Yes Geraldine, I noticed. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I did an update to the hometowns. I had placed Seattle in the same position as San Francisco so I fixed that. Also, I moved Enki Cantena up to the top of the hill so you can now actually land there.

Marcel, I was quite surprised how good the upgraded stations look after adding the mod. They look quite nice and with the names of the station on the pad, I hope this mod is added to the main build at some point. I've now found it easy to add and adjust the position of stations, so any time I have a problem like with Enki Cantena I can move them around myself <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Thanks Skodyn! <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> That kind of feedback really makes me feel good! I suppose that to get it into the main build I'll have to post it on (gulp!) GitHub. Actually with the upcoming removal of the LMR I'm not sure if this kind of scripted model will even be supported in the future. Anyway, there are more stations coming. I've got upgrades to the mushroom stations and the orbital stations and right now I'm working on integrating them with potsmoke66's and Vuzz's work. If you do some ground station moving around I hope you'll share it with the rest of us.

If anyone else wants additions or corrections let me know. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Ok, done! I'll post a link when it's approved.

Sure thing Loki999. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I'll add it to the alpha 28 version.

The alpha 28 version is available for download. There are no changes to the Sol system planets, so if you have the alpha 27 version you probably won't want to download the new version, unless you're Loki999. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//derisive.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':derisive:' />

I will still down load it anyways Marcel as it is somewhat of a ritual for me now once a new Alpha comes out. Without a new "Hometowns" it wouldn't feel right! <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//girl_crazy.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':girlcrazy:' />
