To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

This is my first post so at the beginning let me send a lot of thanks to the all Pioneer devs and whole community for bringing to live such wonderful project as Pioneer is. Thank you!!
Now, Im running Pioner on Debian 32bit. I have oldy geforce 7900GS and im running nvidia driver 304.64. Pioneer running just fine on my machine even with high settings, but unfortunatly im facing some artefacts on planet details, which are killing joyful of exploring galaxy ;/
It is even more visible when you are viewing the dark side of the planet from the far. Instead of seeing black shape I can see this artefacts...
Do you have any idea what should i do to repair the problem? I belive there is no issue with driver versions, becouse i installed few versions so far and always the same results. I also tried both on self compiled version of Pioneer aswell as binary version...

Hi Everyone,
Looks like i should make sure i cannot help myself before i will post anything to you guys. I played a bit with resolution and it seems taht problem is gone. I was using non native 1440x900 on my desktop, so i tried to change to native 1600x1050 and also switch the same resolution in Pioneer. Now artefacts are gone, finally! Damn i should check that couple of months back :/
btw. Im am a web developer, i programming in php+js , and also i got strong skills in shell programming and some other minor languages (awk for example). Maybe it is time to learn lua and help you guys pushing Pioneer to beta finally ?:)
