To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

[feature request] Multi monitor support - Ubuntu

(@pazuzu)

I know this is way down the to do list,  but it would be nice (at least for me ) to add multi monitor support.

Adding my specs (because maybe support is there, it's just me):

Monitor1 : 1920*1080

Monitor2 : 1680*1050

Ubuntu 13.04 64bit

Latest linux 64 build

DE: Unity / gnome-panel

What happens is config dialog shows me only one available resolution (3600*1080), while the game runs in windowed mode with the lowest res available.

If you choose fullscreen, the game will render on Monitor1 at 3600*1080 leaving most of it out of the screen area (most notably the menu :-/) making it impossible to revert to previous settings.

A workaround is to unplug Monitor2, then you have "proper" resolution options, pick one that you see fit and never choose fullscreen.

Then you plug in Monitor2 and run the game, you'll still be unable to change resolution, but the game window will keep the size you picked when using  single monitor.

Not a dealbreaker in any way but if at some point devs have some spare time...
