To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Just listening to that Who number makes me wonder, where did all the time go?
I love Unhalfbricking, and as for Sandy Denny - what a voice! Another tortured soul who died too young!
Ah yes, I remember them well. Randy Bachman (Bachman-Turner Overdrive) on guitar.
My friend, the Dylan fan, recently picked up a Guess Who album from 1970. This, amongst other things, was on it. Loved it, a great band! 😊
Oh, by the way, she liked the Heavy Jelly track you posted too. 👍

Clearly a woman of discerning taste!
Two classic Dutch rockers from the early 70's...
Still sticking with European performers, he is something very different. Luc Arbogast who lists Led Zeppelin as one of his influences. Here you can see why, what a range he has. Don't know how medieval music like will sit with you folks tho but here he is. I think he is fantastic.
From French to Spanish: Radio Tarifa mixed Flamenco, Moorish, and Arabian influences, among others - some going back to the middle ages. They created a quite unique and atmospheric sound - and the dancing girl knew how to strut her stuff too!
Time for a cryin' song...
Dude! Seriously, just got visions of driving down highways late at night with nothing to keep me company but a blaring radio. Great pick.
Let me see if I can give this a try. Here's something to pick you up.

I like this thread, it allows me to show my rather strange and varied tastes in music while discovering the same about the rest of you.
Now here is something for today, while I always like the tune, watch the video, what this fan did is rather awesome...

How could I resist...
Ok, I'm going to give you one more before taking a rest from this as I'm having too much fun with it. I got a thing for old music... and here's one of my favorites sung by one of the greats. To think this almost didn't happen as Cab thought no one would care for his music at that time, it wasn't modern enough or "cool"he believed.
My dad was a big fan of Cab Calloway!

Your dad was a pretty cool dude then. Cab was awesome, good thing a lot of the main stream didn't understand what some of his lyrics meant, they would have censored him into oblivion.
