To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

The guitarist, Barry Martin, is an old friend of mine, known him since the '70s! He can play!
Great cover Cody but I decided I couldn't post Gerry without his school buddy Joe.

The white rabbit in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland also carried a pocket watch, so...
The original and best version!
Nice choices folks! Ok, a challenge for you. I dare you all to like this. It's Andy Gibb who wasn't Beegee.
Or was he?
Any cheek, and I will post David Cassidy, you have been warned! 😀Â

Don't you dare! I'd be forced to counter it with a NSFW track by The Fugs!
Some 1969 correspondence, found inside an FBI file on the rock group The Doors, called The Fugs the "most vulgar thing the human mind could possibly conceive".
You are let off because I like the Fugs! CIA Man, what a track! 😀Â
I like the Fugs!
You and me both! It Crawled Into My Hand, Honest was one of the jewels of my vinyl collection.
I'd like to play Johnny Pissoff Meets the Red Angel, but I'll settle for this...
Time to see what "The Captain" has to say!

"Women like long neck bottles, and a big head on their beer!"
October - the eighth month. Even our calendar is fucked up! Anyway...
Talking of the Vietnam war, a grim little dirge...
The fashion, the sound, the lyrics... and gone way too soon
Now, something a good bit more modern
Now, something a good bit more modern
Modern? Al Stewart is one of Scotland's finest exports, right up there with single malt...
I've got no use for the tricks of modern times, they tangle all my thoughts like ivy!
Thread needs some James Brown
The date: Monday October 26th 1970
The venue: the Royal Festival Hall on London's South Bank
The band: Emerson, Lake & Palmer on their first tour
The highlight: Keith Emerson playing the hall's huge pipe organ
Fifty years on, and that gig still sticks in my mind! Awesome!
