To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Finally got around to watching the new Blood & Chrome trailer for the new BSG movie/pilot to the new Battlestar Galactica series. This series looks to expand and improve on what they did so well in the first one from a few years back. Sure am glad to see another BSG movie/tv series coming because this is some good scifi.
Trailer:
Supposedly they will be releasing episodic releases of this all the way up to its Feb 19th release of the whole movie itself.
Episode 1
Episode 2
Will have to keep an eye out for this.
Just watched the first season of Caprica interesting series but I can see why it failed to appeal to BSG fans.
Supposedly they will be releasing episodic releases of this all the way up to its Feb 19th release of the whole movie itself.
I heard that the SyFy channel canceled the show so we'll just be left with the web-series. Not sure about this info though.
Yeah, same here.
Watched it last night and found it to be cool.
Didn't like the overuse of flare/glare camera effects ala Mass effect (made it a chore for me to watch)
But all in all a solid show, that builds on the already established epicness that is was Galactica. Hope it works out for them.
And it was great seeing the classy Cylon fighter craft in modern action!!!
Watched this tonight and so far I am liking it and they have definitely kept the same excitement as BSG, looking forward to more.
Watched the first 4 minutes just now and I like it. "Giev mor' plx!" =D
On March 21, 2012, Deadline.com confirmed that Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome would not move forward in TV format but was still regarded as a candidate for a digital series.[15]
On July 12, 2012 however, an article written on the San Diego Comic Con Battlestar Panel stated that Richard Hatch and Jane Espenson are convinced that "Blood and Chrome is still on the table as a series for SyFy", and that "Bryan Singer’s BSG movie is on track".[16] Following the release of an official trailer, Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome is scheduled for release on November 9, 2012, as an online series consisting of ten 12-minute acts.[17][18]
Episode 3 & 4
Episode 5 & 6
I liked these two episodes, I hope this is getting a lot of views and Scifi picks this up as a series because so far it is pretty darn good.
It's not only good, it's so good it's outrageous .... but this is coming from a hard-core Battlestar Galactica fan who had nothing to watch for so long, so don't mind me <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Episode 7 & 8 were good but you could really tell they were using a blue screen, they should definitely work on the visuals before the dvd/br release.
The Blood & Chrome finale, all I hope is that this gets a series.
