To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Not sure if this a main stream production or a small project that got legs now. But it looks like they going back to original time line and not a continuation of new alternative Star Trek from that last 2.
According to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_TrekGDN_Renegades a it's Kickstarter fan made production although interestingly they have hope for one the following a stand alone film, internet series or to picked up by CBS for a series, also noted that the director is one Tim "Tuvok" Russ.
I've never been able to understand why certain people want to make Star Trek "dark". The (deliberately) foolishly optimistic optimism and utopianism, and, perhaps more importantly, humor, are what make it what it is. I'm all for "dark" science fiction, but why not let be Star Trek be what it is, what it's good at being?
Hmm first time hearing of this and looks interesting and I see a few past ST series cast members in there as well.
I kind of like the darker spin on the universe since the way humanity is now, I doubt we would be taking over or conquering anything at this point so fighting to survive is probably a good way to go (crap they are about to start anarchy of water in CA) 😀
Oh wow, this definitely looks a lot better than the first trailer.
To answer your question, it's a small time production done by Tim Russ, with a whole bunch of veteran Star Trek actors on board.

I can understand why some people want a "dark and grim Star Trek universe." Though I do think it would work better if it was based on the Mirror universe, but honestly theres no way this can be worse than Khan 2.0 or Star trek 5.
