To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Looking good. Is each one of the asteroids/debris individually created?

Looks like you are passing the asteroids past the camera, have you tried maybe putting the camera in a orbit around the asteroids to show them from a different aspect? And maybe slow the video down a bit. Hard to see the details on the asteroid/debris because the go by a bit quick.

You make that all in Blender Chebar?

each astriod i modeled seperately, but they all share the same texture. I've try to show more of the asteriods. I did make all of this in blender. Hopefully i'll have a different clip to show everyone in a day or so.

Ok gonna nitpick now Chebar hope ya don't mind 🙂

That one asteroid at .20s is spinning way to fast on its axis. but outside of that you slowed down the camera action nicely. Your starting to get the hang of the camera now and soon we will have a 2-3min video from Chebar 🙂

Chebar how hard to you think it would be to add like space dust/particles to the asteroids as they pass? Is that using the particle system in Blender?
