To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Just been looking on the CIC Wing commander site and noticed a thread about Wing Commanders 20th anniversary next year.
1 EEK has really been 20 years. 😀
2 What do think of the chances that EA will mark it?.
Oh goodness I am getting old Pinback 🙂 I feel like that was just a few years ago that I played the original WC. I hope the do mark it with an announcement that they will be releasing a new WC to the series. That would be great!
I would love for a new WC game
if a WC MMO came out I would live in it forever. Unfortunately all other space games would die because to me and my wing commander heritage they are all CRAP compared to it!

Some of the older gaming franchises like Wing Commander have a huge following why not bring it back personally. Most you can do is try it with a SP/MP game and open it up to modders and see how much it sells. If you make some good profits you work on a WC Universe style MMO and start putting all the other space sim MMO's out of business
