To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I'm a little surprised that no one mentioned these titles. Pretty much the best space games ever made. 🙂 Though maybe they belong in Standalone Space Sims with Wing Commander. They aren't that much older than Wing Commander.
I haven't found anything similar to it. I guess SWG: Jump to lightspeed could qualify, in a way....
It is possiable that it is out there and I haven't come across it though.
They have been mentioned in various threads.
Like a lot of the older games no started a thread about them, until now.
Theirs been plenty of single player story driven games made, when D1 restores the links page have look through it.
I've said this before, but I wish Lawrence Holland (the creator of X-Wing, Secret Weapons Over Normandy and Secret Weapons Of The Luftwaffe) would make another game 🙂 Here is what the Wiki says about him http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_Holland
LucasArts hints at X-Wing & TIE Fighter remakes that would be nice, i loved TIE fighter
