To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hey guys
I'm an indie developer for a one man company named cybercritics, I received some interest from you guys a few years back, since then I check in here every once in a while. I'm a space game fan and have created a few casual space games, recently I finished my latest 4x game Galaxy Union, it's up for sale on gameolith. Since this is my first commercial game, it's priced as a giveaway, hoping to raise some cash for my next project. If you do decide to play it, let me know what you think of the game.

Just moving the thread to the right forum Critic.
Can't go wrong with a 3d map :good: have you done a vid for it?,
You should give Adam Solo at Space Sector http://www.spacesector.com/blog/ a shout as he blogs about 4x games.
Gonna buy it 🙂 Looks interesting 🙂
Have played the game for 2 matches. It is a quite good game I must say. Improvements can be done on the UI part (mainly making things more clear to the player on what to do and where to find things).
It would be awesome to be able to design your own ships and/or components later on. And alloys which combine certain strengths and weaknesses of each material.
So far I must say it was a quite enjoyable experience, even though I lost both times 🙂
There is a vid up on youtube, thanks for the link I will get in touch with Adam.
Robske, the trick is to build as much as possible in order to be able to support a fleet that is capable of invading other systems. Gameplay moves from, building to colonization to conquest, a small map can be beaten in a few hours.
That you gotta keep expanding as quickly as possible is what I had already noticed the first game. But the 2nd game I discovered a bit too late how much effect research has.
