To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Just wanted to say Hi!

As an old space simmer I can't believe I've only just found this site.

I played Elite on the Atari ST and have been looking for a version (or similar) that works for soooo long.

I have dabbled with Freelancer on and off (among other things) but nothing has ever quite captured the spirit of Elite the way I want.

It seems crazy that just weeks before the beta of Elite:Dangerous, I discover Pioneer which mostly works - well done and thanks to everyone and anyone who has contributed to this version.

Very exited about 2014 now. With Elite:Dangerous, Star Citizen, No Man's Sky to look forward to and Pioneer or similar to play while I'm waiting, It's gonna be a very good year 🙂

Welcome DarthLuca, I guess I have tried hard to keep SSC deep in space and off the radar of the riff-raff we like to keep out of the sector. But the determined space traveler usually does find their way here. Enjoy the stay and see ya in the pub.
