To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hello SSC!
It's great that there's a Space Sim Community. I wish that I had found this earlier.
I'm a big fan of the genre. I've logged-in hundreds of hours on the original Elite, played through the campaign of Descent: Free Space and have long-admired (but haven't played enough) Eve Online.
Of course, there's plenty of other games that I have yet to catch up on; with more on the way. All-in-all, the genre is alive and well.

Welcome aboard mate ! If I may suggest, try playing "Freelancer" as well if you haven't already, it's oldie but goldie 🙂

The genre is very much in ascendant with some great games being made from the indie developers.
