To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hello from Quintet - (Carmine the developer here)

Hello! My name is Carmine and I'm the developer of a game called Quintet. It's a sci-fi cross-platform multiplayer game where up to 5 players control the same spaceship (Captain, Helm, Tactical, Engineering and Science).

You can play on the Internet as well as your LAN and even entirely offline by yourself. There are several ships to choose from. Small quick fighters for single players, as well as large ships too.

Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android devices can all play together on the same ships.

If you haven't check it out yet, then stop by my website:

http://quintet.us

I'm trying to get Quintet greenlit on Steam, so if you're on Steam check out the page here:

Welcome to the forums Carmine.

Seen the post on SGJ the other day, strange that know one has mentioned Quintet before now.

Looks very nice, any gameplay video?

Also love the Mystery Men reference in your name.

Hey, I saw this on Ouya; is it worth checking out on that platform, or would you recommend trying it on PC or laptop first?

It's playable on the OUYA but some of the scenarios/scenes can run a little slow. I'd really recommend it on PC or Laptop etc.  It has joystick support, so you can use a joystick/controller with your PC to fly the ship.
