To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hello everybody!
I am an "old" space simulators addicted from Italy. I was having a peek at the Pioneer project and I stumbled onto this portal, so here I am!
I started on a CBM64 (a.k.a. C= 64) with Elite and a gorgeous game called Project: Space Station, a game that I still play on my emulator; when I moved to an Amiga 500 I bring them with me. It was then when I found out Federation of Free Traders. Am I the only one who loved it? Oh, even The Halley Project was such a good game!
Then came the time for Frontier: Elite II and next First Encounter, games that still are in my heart and in my game shelf.
I also had an insane addiction for Microsoft Space Simulator!
Lately I am using Oolite, Vega Strike, Celestia, Orbiter 2010, Stellarium but all my hopes are in Elite IV... I still belive that one of these days I will play it, and I will be the most happy man in the known universe!
Now, let me have a look in the whole forum!

I started out on my C64 as well (my atari doesn't count) and remember all my gaming exploits. You listed a lot great games from the past. 🙂

@ Geraldine: yes, I laughed for a while. Some of them at the official forum have wonderful avatars!!
@ Darkone: don't want to be mistaken for an old grumbler but... Weren't them way much fun and addictive compared to the most recent games?
I got a small (VERY small) tribute page to my favourite games ever...
Feel free to help me complete it or correct eventual mistakes.
Now, back to my game!
