To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

hi everyone im new to ssc
im 16 years old and a huge fan of sci fi
it started when i was 3 years old my old man(dead) putted star trek on the tv while i was watching it
and i kept watching star trek ever since
i liked it very much and when i turned 5 i started gaming and played c&c (nothing of sci fi) and continued searching for that one game i love
and since last year i found it
sins of a solar empire
it made one of my dreams come true
and now my 2nd dream is coming true also in the game star made
in that game you can build spaceships and fly them with guns and everything!
and well thats my history of sci fi basicly
and if you wonder why my name is blizzard
its a tribute to my dog that died of epilepsy <img src=' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//resent.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':resent:' />
but yeah since then i became more aggressive irl and in games
but i found this site when looking for space games 2012
and thats my story

There is a lot of games out there to play that's for sure and I think there is a lot of folks that got into SciFi because of Star Trek, myself included.

i tried to download wing commander secret ops but when opening the file it says unsuspected end to archive

I will download and look at it this evening, but you can also report a download to be broken as well and I will check it out. Initial glance at file sizes it seems ok. But I will need to download it to make sure the it extracts, make sure you are using 7zip.
aa i used winrar maybe its that
