To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Good morning everyone I am new to this so apologies if this ends up in the wrong place.
I have this problem with my recent download of Starpoint Gemini and wondered if anybody could help. I have sent the obligatory e-mails to the publisher etc. but with no joy as yet.
I downloaded SPG yesterday via Gamefly in an attempt to get back into gaming.
Unfortunately when I start the game which all appears to happen correctly I get to the opening menu and my mouse cursor only reacts to the menu options when held approximately 2cm to the right and 2 down from the option. Initially I thought this was a straight forward resolution setting conflict so entered the options menu and attempted to select the correct resolution being displayed on my Laptop (1366x768 – recommended). Although I could select the right resolution setting with my offset mouse I could not apply it, as with the offset I could not access the ‘Apply’ button. The Controls section of the options menu also appears to be corrupted or in the wrong format. In a further attempt to resolve the issue I exited the game and reset my Laptop resolution to (1024x768) which appeared to be the default in the game options menu. I restarted my computer and then started the game but the issue remained the same.
I have used the troubleshooting option for display compatibility but that has no effect either.
My mouse within Windows and all other programs I run is spot on.
Can you help resolve this issue so that I can run the game.
I look forward to your response, many thanks.
Hello I had the same problem downloading Starpoint Gemini on my laptop . I fixed it by going in to the Starpoint Gemini folder and editing the GameConfiguration file with notepad go to resolution and change it to 1366 768 save and close.
Robert, Thank you. I have had a look for the relevant file within the folder in order to amend it but at present I can't find the correct one. Any Ideas?
Tobago007 it should be in the main folder just under the EULA file . I have version 1.0.1.2 with gladiator DLC from Gamers Gate.
Robert thank you for that. I have V 1.012 from Gamefly and I don't even have a EULA file in the main folder. I don't think I am being a complete idiot but the main folder contains the data sub folder / a DAT file and a DLL file with the exception of the readme file and the uninstall that is it. I have put the same issue to gamefly but as yet no response. I may try downloading it for the third time and see what I get but if you have any further ideas please let me know.
Tobago007 I think the problem is the defalt resolution is set to something like 1900X1600 witch is out of bounds for your laptops resolution witch is the problem I had until I edited the GameConfiguration file but without that file I don't how to fix this.
Robert. Thank you very much for your help. You were correct in your advice it is just that for some reason the download had split the sub folders between my computer's user folders and hence I couldn't find it initially. I have also had the same response from LGM since my last post so your fix was correct. Thanks - problem solved.
Tobago007 Your welcome glad to hear you fixed the problem.
