To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

We should have civilianized space a long time ago, we would have been on Mars a long time ago. Maybe I will be able to go to the moon or farther before I die... 😉

This was impressive how smooth it went for a test run.

I agree D1, it's well past time. If we are ever to be a space faring race we must, simply must, dump the old way of super powers being the only presence in space with their own narrow agendas. To create stuff out there, you need business, you need industry, you need people, everyday people with hopes and aspirations just like how people migrated to other parts of the globe in years gone by, to make a new life, a new world of their own, free from ties to the old world. A new beginning basically for the human race that will hopefully have learned from the mistakes of the past.
Will it ever happen? Yes, I think it will. Will it happen in our lifetimes? Well, that remains to be seen. 😉
