To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Surprised this topic has come up yet for everyone.
What does everyone think of the direction Blizzard is taking with the game and the mechanics like the auction house, crafter, skills, sockets, companion system, online to play d3, etc..? I think the Monk class is looking really fun to play and I will probably be playing that.
I kind of like the auction house idea and a player could have the possibility to make real money, I just wonder how much Blizzard is going to pocket from say 'transaction fees' if they are assessed. I love the socket system and how everything can have a socket (with a crafters help). And visually the skills on all of the different classes look great. I didn't really care for the online only game Blizzard decided to do. Yes the majority of the populous has a internet connection, but they may not have it all the time so its just nice to have the option available and I would pay extra for the game to have it.
Blizzard has already got the thoughts of expansions (from the leaked release schedule from Blizzard), overall I am happy D3 is finally going to come out and look forward to picking this up for Christmas this year (for myself, I should make the kids play the first two before they see this one).
Seam to be causing a bit of stink about the no single player game.
