To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

While waiting for Elite dangerous, whats the best way to play Frontier or even better Frontier FFE, are there remakes over there?, if you can put download links I'd really appreciate it, I dont mind Frontier if the remake is better than FFE.

Here is a good site if you want to try out the classic Elite games: Elite Forever

I got pioneer but gives me an error and two versions of ffed3dl, really confused about that one, one is 1 gig another is 400 megs

My main question is, are they complete?, pioneer and FFE remake are fully playable to dedicate hundreds of hours?

Pioneer and FFE3D are both still ongoing works in progress, but I've sunk many hours into both.

oolite = Elite

Pioneer = Frontier : Elite 2 (or at least it was originally.  It now follows it's own path)

FFED3D = Frontier : First Encounters (There's a few different versions - go for the latest build of the AJ version as it's still being updated.  For old-school graphics go for JJFFE, if you can find it)
