To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

i guess that should help, at least it runs with alpha22,
condition is, you have to replace the "data/models/ships", "data/ships" and "data/sub_models" directory in any case,
the files in "data/models" (three scripts) add to the existing content in the directory and are needed also.

Keep updated with "git pull git://github.com/pioneerspacesim/pioneer.git"
Make my changes and "git push git@github.com:walterar/pioneer.git"
And compile binary of a master of my pioneer.git
All models p66 work (error-free) on my master with some very small adjustments.
Now I will try "default_models_p66_12-05-19.zip" 😉

@walterar i can't use nightlybuilds,
but i guess it should work with them to, but you have to replace all sub-models, functions and models, like for a alpha22.
from far i cant see no reason why it shouldn't, if not, sorry alpha22 is reference for me.
i hope this will never make it, to remove the "Matrix..." from LMR means a out for most of my models.
edit: changed from uppercase to lowercase, ahh, does that makes sense... (working this way we have work for our lifetime and get nowhere)

i solved your problems,
this will install (replace) all models for the latest "alpha23 dev" build.
the buildungs and spaceports mods ("mod" directory)
mods_bldg_sport_p66_alpha23.7z
❗ only "alpha23 prerelease"
p.s. if you don't like "bender" as pilot edit "data/models/selector.lua"

there is a small issue with the building & spaceport "mods", due to that all have to be zipped as "models" directory (no subdirectories supported in zipped mods, yet),
all files, means wavefront .obj and textures act as if they would stand together in the same directory.
as result certain textures are missing or wrong, i'm working on that to fix it.

This is good news that you can work with pre-release.
All your models work ok in dev master 23.
Hopefully for the launch are no "surprises".

That link for the new models above is busted. I tried to get them one by one off Skydrive but alas they all crash 23, I guess they are older models on there.
Do you and your ship building skills extend to 23? 🙂 🙂
