To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hi everyone, and thanks for this wonderful game!
Pioneer alpha 2 works great on my laptop but I cannot make alpha 3 and 4 work. The problem seems to be the "vertex shaders", as alpha 2 only runs with this value set to 0 in the config.ini.
Sadly, I cannot find this file in the 3 and 4 versions of the game. Copying the file does not seem to work either. Is there a way to disable "vertex shaders" in the latter versions of the game?
(oh, and sorry for my english, as it's not my native language)

Alpha 3 and 4 do have this file, its just in a different place. Mine is located at:
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Pioneer where USER is your name. This is for windows 7.
Although I don't see a vertex shader option, but you should be able to add it to the config.ini

Thank you very much! Actually I just had to change the "disableshaders" value. Game works great now.
