To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Help Me With Timewarp (or destroying missiles)

After a fight in deep space, I managed to kill the guy who was chasing me for some documents, but my missile didn't hit the target before I destroy it. So I've started to run my engines towards target planet. Well, of course, as you know, it takes time to accelerate to thousands of kilometers per second. And time warp didn't work, no matter how far I got from the missile. I shot a few bursts of laser to it, it also didn't help.

So just asking for help. Is there any code or sth to destroy the missile, or how to unlock timewarp capability again? And I would be happy if you don't tell me to shoot the missile. Just asking, if there's any other way. Alert mode is green, my targeting got stuck at my missile. I can't deselect it.

I believe I experienced a similar issue a few versions back, except with me it was an enemy ship I couldn't escape. It turned out the problem was that I had to stop targeting the enemy who was now tens of thousands of km away. Try targeting something non-hostile and then attempt time-compression again

Strange, because as far as I know, missiles have a lifetime, so they should disappear/explode after a while.

Clicking on it again should unselect it as a target.

Also, what happens if you click on the time accel button, while holding ctrl? It should force it, but I can't remember if you can force it if a ship is around.

Clicking on the selected ship/missile should deselect it.

It might be worth testing this.
