To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hiya! Long time no see.
I've revisited this and made new icons from scratch.
The new icons are all scaled up, so I'd like for someone who can work with code to implement them so they can fit into the interface without making tiny non detailed versions (I'm just providing the artwork, not the implementation). All of the icons are created so that they fit onto a 100% black background. I'm about 50% complete so far.

Hey Kviki
I have gave these a little test in Pioneer and they look great! After downloading them, I have put them into a data/icons folder setup. Do you want me to upload them into the Pioneer section of the SSC? I have already written a little readme that gives you credit for them and explains how to install them.
Sure. Though, notice that not all of them are done. Made two more today, you can find the newest ones at the bottom.
No problem, I will wait until your finished then upload them <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//cool.pn g"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />
Yes I agree Robn, that would be a better way. I will leave the decision up to Kviki. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Oh and while I am here, Gibbon has kindly allowed me a wee spot on his Gizmo Studios Freelancer forum. Here is a link
http://gizmostudios.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pioneer1
A great place it is too to find out about all the cool Freelancer mods both he and others have created for the game. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//cool.pn g"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />
That rotating globe on the Freelancer forum is what I wish my hometowns add-on could look like. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Yea, it does look kinda cool Marcel. I wonder if Darkone might add one to the SSC? As for your add-ons, they are (if I may say so) already look quite cool. I can only imagine as Pioneer progresses ever nearer Version 1.0 what planets in it will look like. I am sure s2odan has other cool ideas up his sleeve that are yet to be seen <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//nyam.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':nyam:' />

Yes, and in a few days. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Oh yes, I too am waiting for the new Alpha, which reminds me I need to skit off to the screenshot thread, going to need more on ModDB for the new alpha! <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//girl_sigh.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':girlsigh:' />
You should package them up as a mod. See the modding guide for details.
does the modding system work for all folder setups in data/? I know the wiki says it does but I have placed these .png's in a zip file inside an icons folder and placed them in the mod directory and they do not show up in game.
extracting the .png's to the data/icons folder does work though.....
Kviki, good work, they look great. I hope to see some more soon <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
I have the same issues with replacement adverts and goods but it could just be me doing it wrong.
Hey again! I was in the hospital for the whole week. This wasn't forgotten yet, I'll probably continue it within the few next days. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_biggrin.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
Sorry to here that Kviki, hope all is well. looking forward to more <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Kviki, when i get home tonight and if you do not mind I will re-package this file as mod file and list it here
http://spacesimcentr...9-mods-listing/
that way all you have to do is drop the zip file in the documents/mods folder!
Sure.
Though I'm not sure where that ''documents/mods'' folder is!
Sure.
Though I'm not sure where that ''documents/mods'' folder is!
well I use windows so for me it is C:Users**username**DocumentsPioneermods
Thanks Kviki, the files have now been uploaded and added to the mod list.

Hiya! Long time no see.
I've revisited this and made new icons from scratch. You can see some examples in the updated first post!

Very nice! I suggest you to post them on the developer's forum. It's checked more often than SSC. 🙂

Yeah we switched to using the new forum for most development stuff.
Heya! It's almost complete. I won't post the finished upload on this forum then. see ya there!
