To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

When I first started playing Frontier the Stardream timer caused me most problems, crashing into planets etc, until I came up with a rule of thumb, Keep the 2nd Digit from the left of the Distance ticking over at about one a second. This works even better in Pioneer, very smooth flight progression and pioneer makes the last two changes automatically. How about an automatic mode for the timer. Push it and the time increases step by step to full then steps down, based on distance to go. Basically an extended version of what you have now. This could help newcomers to the game who have not played Frontier.
something for future developments perhaps.

pioneer was built from scratch just made to look like frontier the coding is compleltley different which means the stardream mode was programmed better from get go so it works better
