To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Has anyone seen Cargo.its a Swiss science-fiction from last year, just happen to see the DVD of it in shops the other day.
Looks interesting, reminds me of a cross between Pandorum and Sunshine. I added this to Netflix but its not out yet on DVD/Blu 🙁
It is but it is Region 2 only least on Amazon and Netflix doesn't have it yet, its on my queue list so I don't forget about it. I have never heard of an action film from the Swiss and if this is their first one it looks to be some great quality there.
Haha. Nah I am the only one in the house that will actually watch a subtitled movie and most of the time I prefer them because there stories are usually more well written. A lot of the time American sci-fi movies concentrate too much on the visuals instead of the story. I like watching a movie that sticks in my head for days or years and I never tire of watching it.
Moon was a good movie because of the theme/story behind it. There was no special effects, just pure story and acting. Well hope to see Cargo soon on Netflix 🙂
Think I will defiantly get a copy of it.
Watched Cargo, started the film and thought I had the wrong film as it has the same start as Gladiator, the whole film is very Ridley Scott in look. Very much like alien with some 2001 throw in and a hint of the Matrix as well 😀 ,it’s a good film and I enjoyed it. Big space station at the start and a advert sign in space just like the Elite novel or Oolite.
