To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I think I'am going to like this after all it got cowboys and aliens in it. 😀
"1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger (Daniel Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford). It's a town that lives in fear.
But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known.
Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he's been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of the elusive traveller Ella (Olivia Wilde), he pulls together a posse comprised of former opponentsâ€â€ÂÂtownsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriorsâ€â€ÂÂall in danger of annihilation. United against a common enemy, they will prepare for an epic showdown for survival."
Bit more info about the film on this blog.
This is easily as cool as Spitfires in space. One to look forward to! 🙂
Two of my favorite movie types together... Cowboys and Aiens 🙂
I liked Daniel Criag in Defiance and Quantum of Solace
Looking forward to seeing this.
Just hopping I can get to see this in the cinema and not have to wait for the DVD.
Anyone see this yet?
It's almost embarrassing for this movie to be tied with the Smurfs for ticket sales 🙂
Cowboys & Aliens is fantastic movie I have ever watch out.me and all of my friends like this flick pretty much.
It's a fine movie. With James Bond, Indiana Jones, and Thirteen (from House), how could it go wrong?
The story is not as rich as Temple of Doom or the better Bond films, but a SciFi fan wouldn't want to miss it.
Watched the film on DVD, thoroughly enjoyed it. 😎 😀
