To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Leonard Nimoy died today from COPD at the age of 83. What can you really say about this Scifi icon that hasn't already been said.
My tribute is this very amazing scene of Mr. Spock, always a touching one.
You were everybody's friend Mr Spock. You will be missed.
RIP Leonard Nimoy ๐
Youรยดll be missed...a true legend
Terrible, I dont have the words :girlsad:
RIP
In addition to Star Trek, Nimoy appeared in The Twilight Zone, Mission: Impossible, THEM!, The Brain Eaters, Sea Hunt, The Outer Limits, Get Smart, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., and Night Gallery.
I knew he'd appeared in most of those, but had no idea he had a part in THEM! - a movie which frightened the hell out me when I was kid!
Bon voyage, Mr. Spock. :pioneer: See you in New Vulcan. :toclue:
I was so sad on hearing this. Never before has the death of a public figure been quite so upsetting to me.
I'll miss you Leonard Nimoy, you brought a lot of joy to my life.
RIP Mr Spock.
Looks like Elite: Dangerous and Star Citizen will both be adding something to their games to honor Mr. Nimoy in some way and of course Star Trek Online is doing this as well as expected they would.
