To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

The Road

I watched this about 2-3wks ago and still thinking about the movie. The wife stopped watching it because she thought it was too morbid. But I guess the thought of an apocalypse happening is a bid morbid. The film did a great job creating the bond between the father and son and the way they survive and overcome different challenges.

The film also does a good job displaying on how society might be in something really bad happens. But whether you think it is far fetched or not it is probably more true than what people would want to admit. The Road isn't an action film really at all, but it is well acted and you see a nice cameo of Robert Duvall. (they did a nice job on his makeup I didn't recognize him until he spoke.)

The Scifi fan will like this movie and do recommend people should see this film, it does give you the whole Fallout 3 feel and you may even look into fallout shelter prices online afterwards 🙂 .... oh and guns & ammo 🙂
