To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Just asking, becouse in game we have many sourses of light, and the lights are differ in the different places at the game sectors.

I just wondering if you were using just one light source ie the light coming from just one direction.
Some great texture work on the ship and station models. Will the asteroids in the game be destructible?
No. As i said we have multi light source: big stars, the planet, lights from weapon flames, fire asteroids, ships and etc.
Yes we pay special attention for textures and effects.

Yes, very many our players love the space and everything connected with it.
I think roots of it in the the well-known fact - in the USSR, almost all boys in childhood wanted to become cosmonauts.

I'm looking forward to seeing some gameplay video - I never totally trust trailers and screenshots to be representative of the true quality of the game. 😉 But what you guys are showing so far looks great.

How far into development are you?
How big is your team?
Where are you going to host your servers?
I see on your website game modes like"Team Death Match" and "Capture The Sector". Is the game primarily a lobby-based PvP experience? If so, do you consider your game after the same audience as Black Prophecy? Do you have any thoughts on that game?
Personally I see the Star Conflict more like Combat Simulation System (CSiS) or Naumachia: Space Warfare (both under development). Which are lobby based games that are mainly matched based with a simple ranking system. Black Prophecy is different in the way it is a traditional MMO where you grind for levels and equipment and there isn't any match based gameplay to my knowledge.

Right now we are preparing cbt version, which want to start till the this year ends.
Not too big, about 20 people.
Not far from the place where will be main population of our users, to make the minimum ping.
As for the BP - I am agree with DarkOne, it is more like standart MMORPG game. And as i said before - cant to compare.
We have some similar moments from different games and we have many of original.

This explosion - is a result of meeting big missile from small ship and big ship without shields.
