To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Looks like StarGate by another name bit of a strange Kickstart as they are after $5000 for an ad campaigns to get more players, would not be too surprised if they get a lawsuit.

Sometimes staying out of the radar is the best. Especially with these kind of projects. But maybe they have permission or struck a deal, but I highly doubt it.
I always wondered why the official game never got off the ground. You would think the show's mechanics (stargates for bringing new players to a map) would be perfect for an online shooter.
Think their have been a couple of game based on Stargate for the 16bit consoles also their was an FPS game a few years ago but it was never released.
Also their this mod http://www.media-pixel.net/projet.php?n=3 which does a pretty good job of not being Stargate.
